Hey, workout buddies!!
I've been working out! I joined 24 Hour Fitness -- I just got home from working out and it's 4am, so you can see why this was my choice of gym. I've worked out with a personal trainer, but only because I got 5 free sessions when I joined. He has made various parts of me hurt like hell, especially my abs. I am very very weak in the muscle department, it seems.
I've been going 3 times a week or so, and doing around 50 minutes of cardio, mostly treadmill and recumbent bike. Tonight I did a full hour, helped along by my new mp3 player.
The diet (I'm doing Weight Watchers) isn't going so well lately. I've lost 40 pounds in the past 8 months, go me! But lately I've gone from a low of 151 back to being above 155. It's driving me batty. I've found it's very hard for me to eat out with friends. Three weeks ago I was in New York, eating everything in sight, and in the past weeks since getting home, I've been out for French food for a friend's birthday (delish), and two other dinners-with-friends, where I just couldn't make myself eat a salad like I knew I should.
I'm hoping more frequent workouts will let me eat a little more, or at least help me get over this mini-plateau.
Anyone have any success stories to help me along? How's everyone else doing?
So, how did everyone do?
I did ok up until my European vacation, much better than I had even expected ON my European vacation, then I got back to the US right after Xmas and stopped exercising and ate my way right out of my pants. :P
